Το Τμήμα Ορθόδοξης Θεολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Babes-Bolyai στο Cluj-Napoca (Ρουμανία) διοργανώνει από 2 έως 5 Νοεμβρίου διεθνές συνέδριο με τον τίτλο: "Revelation and cultural diversity. The Gospel of Christ and the diversity of the cultures". Στόχος του συνεδρίου είναι η παρουσίαση της πιθανής σχέσης ευαγγελίου και πολυπολιτισμικότητας μέσα στο σύγχρονο κόσμο.
Στην ανακοίνωση - πρόσκληση του συνεδρίου διαβάζουμε τα εξής:
"The Gospel preserves its revelatory integrity but, in order to communicate this revealed message, the Church must not ignore the indigenous culture or impose a foreign one. The Christian faith germinates and yield fruit inside a concrete human community, having a certain culture, preserving in the same time its origin and its being. The Gospel assumes the culture in a creative way, respecting the identity and the particularity of each person, human community or nation. On the other side, the preaching of the Gospel remains 'a sign of contradiction', that is, the Gospel implicates the supremacy of each culture or ideology. It is the Gospel the one which 'judges' and subjects the culture to a process of transcending and transfiguration, according to the model of Christ's Incarnation, in order that the culture may become a proper environment of communicating and experiencing the Gospel of Christ."
