Οι άνθρωποι του ελληνορωμαϊκού κόσμο φαίνεται πως διέθεταν ιδιαίτερο χιούμορ το οποίο έβρισκε την έκφρασή του και στους πιο απίθανους χώρους, όπως ήταν οι δημόσιες τουαλέτες. Τουλάχιστον αυτό επιβεβαιώνεται από τις απεικονίσεις στα μωσαϊκά σε ένα τέτοιο κτίριο που ήρθε στο φως στην Αντιόχεια του Κράγου, σύμφωνα με ένα δημοσίευμα της Megan Gannon στην ιστοσελίδα LiveScience:
