 Σύμφωνα με δημοσιεύματα των τελευταίων ημερών ο Πολωνός καθηγητής Αρχαιολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου της Βαρσοβίας, Marek T. Olszewski, πρότεινε μία ενδιαφέρουσα ερμηνεία του εικονογραφικού προγράμματος των ψηφιδωτών που βρέθηκαν στο σπίτι του Αιώνος στην αρχαία Πάφο (Κύπρος). Η πρότασή του φαίνεται μάλιστα να κερδίζει έδαφος μεταξύ των ειδικών. Σύμφωνα με τον Olszewski, το ψηφιδωτό, που χρονολογείται στο 318 μ.Χ., εποχή κατά την οποία η ρωμαϊκή αυτοκρατορία και διοίκηση εκχριστιανίζεται, πρέπει να ερμηνευτεί αλληγορικά κι είναι μία αντιχριστιανική πολεμική του ειδωλολάτρη ιδιοκτήτη της οικίας.
