Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα της ηλεκτρονικής έκδοσης της The Art Newspaper εντοπίστηκαν ανοικτά του νησιού Gozo της Μάλτας ίχνη ενός φοινικικού πλοίου, το οποίο εκτιμάται ότι είναι το αρχαιότερο που έχει βρεθεί στην Μεσόγειο και σε τόσο καλή κατάσταση. Σύμφωνα με το δημοσίευμα οι αρχαιολόγοι έφεραν στο φως μέρος του φορτίου του πλοίου: 20 μυλόπετρες και 50 αμφορείς. Στη γνωστή ιστοσελίδα Marginalia forum δημοσιεύθηκε τον περασμένο Ιούνη ένα ενδιαφέρον κείμενο της Adele Rheinhartz για την απόδοση του όρου "Ιουδαίος", όταν απαντά στα αρχαία κείμενα. Η συγγραφέας χαρακτήρισε ως ανησυχητικό το γεγονός προτιμάται ο όρος Judean αντί για Jew. Το κείμενό της προκάλεσε ποικίλες αντιδράσεις. Σήμερα τα Marginalia συγκέντρωσαν το αρχικό κείμενο της Rheinhartz και τις παρεμβάσεις από ακαδημαϊκούς που ακολούθησαν σε ένα ηλεκτρονικό τόμο, που ο κάθε ενδιαφερόμενος αναγνώστης μπορεί να καταφορτώσει σε μορφή epub ή mobi.

In A Vocabulary of Desire, Laura Lieber offers a nuanced, multifaceted and highly original study of how the Song of Songs was understood and deployed by Jewish liturgical poets in Late Antiquity (ca. 4th-7th centuries CE). Through her examination of poems which embellish and even rewrite the Song of Songs, Lieber brings the creative spirit-liturgical, intellectual, and exegetical-of these poems vividly to the fore. All who are interested in the early interpretation of the Song of Songs, the ancient synagogue, early Jewish and Christian hymnography, and Judaism in Late Antiquity will find this volume both enriching and accessible.
