Στο υπόμνημα στη 2 Θεσσ αξιοποιούνται και σχολιάζονται δημοσιευμένοι πάπυροι και όστρακα από τον 3ο αι. π.Χ. έως και τον 3ο αι. μ.Χ. Με βάση αυτό το υλικό η συγγραφέας επίσης πραγματεύεται το δύσκολο ζήτημα του συγγραφέα της επιστολής. Παράλληλα συγκρίνει όχι μόνο τις επιστολικές διατυπώσεις με χαρακτηριστικές εκφράσεις που απαντούν σε επιστολές που σώθηκαν σε παπύρους, αλλά παρουσιάζει επίσης στο πλαίσιο ενός παραρτήματος τις υφολογικές ιδιαιτερότητες των αρχαίων αρχείων.
Αυτή η εξέταση θέτει και το μεθοδολογικό ζήτημα του κατά πόσο είναι δυνατό και θεμιτό να συγκρίνονται κείμενα από την Αίγυπτο και εκτός αυτής στη βάση κυρίως των συμβολαίων αγοραπωλησίας δούλων και στη βάση του κοινού ορίζοντα σκέψης στα ελληνικά και λατινικά κείμενα του Imperium Romanum.
Τα συμπεράσματα της ανάλυσης της συγγραφέως οδηγούν στη διαπίστωση ότι η χρήση των διατυπώσεων και φράσεων στη 2 Θεσσ διαφέρουν κατά πολύ από τις αντίστοιχες στους ιδιωτικούς παπύρους και επίσης ότι πολλές από τις εκφράσεις που απαντούν στην επιστολή μαρτυρούνται κυρίως ή αποκλειστικά σε νομικές συνάφειες. Έτσι η γλώσσα της 2 Θεσσ αποκλίνει όχι μόνο από τις αδιαμφισβήτητες επιστολές του Παύλος (Ρωμ, 1 & 2 Κορ, Γαλ, Φιλιπ, 1 Θεσσ και Φιλημ), αλλά και από τις ιδιωτικές επιστολές της ίδιας περιόδου. Ακριβώς αυτή η απόκλιση - σύμφωνα με τη συγγραφέα - μαρτυρεί ότι η 2 Θεσσ είναι ένα ψευδεπίγραφο κείμενο.
