Η νέα επιγραφή από την Πομπηία (Φωτο: Daily Mail Online)

Η είδηση κυκλοφόρησε νωρίτερα, τον Οκτώβριο 2018 και την αναδημοσιεύω εδώ με κάποια καθυστέρηση. Ένα γράφημα σε τοίχο της Πομπηίας ίσως μεταθέτει τη στιγμή της έκρηξης του Βεζουβίου και της καταστροφής της Πομπηίας και των άλλων πόλεων από τις 24 Αυγούστου (ημερομηνία που προκύπτει από την πληροφορία του Πλινίου του Νεώτερου) στις 17 Οκτωβρίου (σύμφωνα με το graffito XVI K Nov, δηλ. την 16η μέρα πριν από τις Καλένδες του Νοεμβρίου). Η νέα αυτή επιγραφή βρέθηκε σε ένα σπίτι το οποίο φαίνεται πως ανακαινιζόταν τις μέρες πριν την καταστροφή. Οι αρχαιολόγοι εκτιμούν ότι το graffito σκεπάστηκε με το σοβά λίγο πριν την έκρηξη. Το νέο αυτό αρχαιολογικό εύρημα έρχεται να επιβεβαιώσει τις παλαιότερες υποψίες των ειδικών.

Ένα νέο βιβλίο για τη Γαλιλαία μετά 100-200 μ.Χ. / A new book on Galilee between 100-200 CE

Από τον εκδοτικό οίκο Brepols κυκλοφόρησε το βιβλίο του R. Bonnie (Πανεπιστήμιο του Helsinki) σχετικά με τη Γαλιλαία του 2ου-3ου αι. μ.Χ. Πρόκειται για μία μία περίοδο ιδιαίτερα σημαντική για την περιοχή της Παλαιστίνη, αφού έπεται του Α΄ Ιουδαϊκού Πολέμου και αφορά τον Β΄ και την περίοδο μετά από αυτόν. Μετά την καταστροφή της Ιερουσαλήμ το 70 μ.Χ. η Γαλιλαία αποτελεί καταφύγιο των Ιουδαίων της περιοχής της Ιουδαίας. Η μελέτη του Bonnie έρχεται να συμπληρώσει και συχνά να διορθώσει την παλαιότερη εικόνα που είχαμε για τη Γαλιλαία αυτής της περιόδου, η οποία στηριζόταν κυρίως στις μεταγενέστερες ραββινικές πηγές. Αντλεί κυρίως τις πληροφορίες του από τα αρχαιολογικά ευρήματα κι αποπειράται να περιγράψει την ιουδαϊκή ταυτότητα των Ιουδαίων κατοίκων της Γαλιλαίας αυτής της περιόδου:
