Ο συγγραφέας του, Jürgen Becker, εστιάζει τη μελέτη του στο ζήτημα των απαρχών και της εξέλιξης της πίστης στην ανάσταση των νεκρών καθώς και στο θεολογικό υπόβαθρο και τις θεολογικές προεκτάσεις αυτής της πίστης.
