Στο ηλεκτρονικό περιοδικό Commonweal ο Michael Peppard δημοσιεύει ένα σύντομο αλλά πολύ ενδιαφέρον άρθρο σχετικά με την παρουσία και το ρόλο των γυναικών στην εκκλησιαστική κοινότητα της Ρώμης, όπως αυτά προκύπτουν από την προς Ρωμαίους. Ο Peppard ανατρέχει στη γνωστή συζήτηση για την Ιουνία και στη συνέχεια αφιερώνει το μεγαλύτερο μέρος του άρθρου του στην Πρίσκα και στην Φοίβη ως εκείνη που μετέφερε την επιστολή στη Ρώμη. Ο Peppard θέτει επίσης το ενδιαφέρον ερώτημα σε ποιον παρέδωσε η Φοίβη την επιστολή για να το απαντήσει ότι ο παραλήπτης της επιστολής πρέπει να ήταν η ίδια Πρίσκα:
