Tα απόκρυφα χριστιανικά κείμενα: μια σύντομη εισαγωγή / Apocryphal Christian texts: a brief introduction

 Στο ιστολόγιό του Apocryphicity o Tony Burke δημοσιεύει το κείμενο μίας πρόσφατης εισήγησής του για το θέμα των αποκρύφων. Με επιχειρήματα ο Burke αντικρούει διάφορες θέσεις που διατυπώνονται για αυτά τα αρχαία χριστιανικά κείμενα και οι οποίες δε φαίνεται να υποστηρίζονται από την ιστορία και το περιεχόμενο αυτών των κειμένων. Τέλος, συζητά και τις προοπτικές και τη σημασία της μελέτης των αποκρύφων:

Κατανάλωση ιερών τροφών στον αρχαίο κόσμο / Eating holy food in the ancient world

 Στη σελίδα Ancient Jew Review φιλοξενούνται οι εισηγήσεις που διαβάστηκαν στις συνεδρίες της ερευνητικής ομάδας “Religious Experience in Antiquity”, στην ετήσια συνάντηση της SBL, San Diego 2019 κι οι οποίες ήταν αφιερωμένες στην κριτική αποτίμηση της μονογραφίας της Meredith J. C. Warren, Food and Transformation in Ancient Mediterranean Literature (WGRWSup 14; Atlanta: SBL Press, 2019). Στο πρώτο από αυτά τα κείμενα η Elizabeth Castelli έχει ως αφετηρία της το πρώτο όραμα της Περπέτουας, στο Passio Sanctarum Perpetuae et Felicitatis και θέτει μία σειρά από καίρια ερωτήματα: το ζήτημα των νεολογισμών, η σχέση ιατρικών κειμένων της αρχαιότητας που πραγματεύονται την τροφή και μύθων, αποκαλύψεων κι άλλων θρησκευτικών κειμένων ή τη σχέση φιλολογικού είδους και αφηγήσεων κατανάλωσης ιερής τροφής:
