Ένα νέο βιβλίο για τους Ιουδαϊσμούς της Αρχαιότητας / A new book on the Judaisms of antiquity

Από τον εκδοτικό οίκο Brepols κυκλοφόρησε ένας νέος συλλογικός τόμος με θέμα τις διαφορετικές μορφές του Ιουδαϊσμού κατά την αρχαιότητα. Οι εισηγήσεις του τόμου εξετάζουν τη θεωρία της τριμερούς διάκρισης του Ιουδαϊσμού των τριών πρώτων μεταχριστιανικών αιώνων: τον Ιουδαϊσμό της συναγωγής, ο οποίος μετά την καταστροφή του 70 διατηρεί την συναγωγή ως το μοναδικό τόπο λατρείας, έναν Ιουδαϊσμό που μετατρέπεται σε χριστιανικό κίνημα (όπου Ιουδαίοι κι εθνικοί, ως σεβόμενοι, συναντώνται) και τον ραββινικό Ιουδαϊσμό, όπου οι μαθητές συγκεντρώνονται γύρω από τον σοφό δάσκαλο. Ο πρώτος παραμένει το κυρίαρχο κίνημα, ενώ οι δύο άλλοι είναι πολύ μικρότεροι σε επιρροή:

Συνέντευξη του καθ. Ι. Καραβιδόπουλου για την κριτική του κειμένου της Καινής Διαθήκης / Interview of Prof. I. Karavidopoulos on NT TC

Στο ιστολόγιο Evangelical Textual Criticism φιλοξενείται η συνέντευξη του ομότιμου καθηγητή της Καινής Διαθήκης στην Θεολογική Σχολή ΑΠΘ Ιωάννη Καραβιδόπουλου για τη σπουδαιότητα της κριτικής του κειμένου της Καινής Διαθήκης και το έργο του στην εκδοτική επιτροπή της UBS Greek New Testament. Το έργο του καθηγητή στο χώρο της κριτικής του κειμένου είναι αναγνωρισμένο διεθνώς, καθώς χάρη στις δικές του προσπάθειες το Βυζαντινό κείμενο συμπεριλήφθηκε στις εκδόσεις του Ινστιτούτου Nestle-Aland και της UBS. Όσοι υπήρξαμε μαθητές και μαθήτριές του γνωρίζουμε την αγάπη του για την κριτική του κειμένου. Είναι εκείνος που έφερε στις θεολογικές σχολές το μάθημα της κριτικής του κειμένου κι επέμεινε στην χρήση των κριτικών εκδόσεων του κειμένου της ΚΔ χωρίς, ωστόσο, να παραβλέπει την σπουδαιότητα του Βυζαντινού κειμένου και να τονίζει την ανάγκη κριτικής έκδοσής του προς την κατεύθυνση της οποίας κι ο ίδιος εργάστηκε. Είναι τιμή για την ελληνική βιβλική επιστήμη η εκπροσώπησή της σε διεθνείς επιτροπές, όπως αυτή της UBS, από τον καθηγητή Ι. Καραβιδόπουλο και χαρά για μας όλους να τον διαβάζουμε και στα διεθνή ιστολόγια.

Ένα νέο βιβλίο για την επί του Όρους Ομιλία / A new book on the Sermon on the Mount

Από τον εκδοτικό οίκο Mohr Siebeck κυκλοφόρησε η μελέτη του Ernst Baasland για τις παραβολές και τη θέση τους μέσα στην Επί του Όρους Ομιλία, ένα θέμα, το οποίο δεν έτυχε αρκετής προσοχής στην προηγούμενη έρευνα. Ο Baasland παρατηρεί ότι περισσότερο από το ένα τρίτο της Ομιλίας είναι δομημένο με βάση τον παραβολικό λόγο κι εξετάζει, τις παραβολές, τον μεταφορικό λόγο και την ρητορική δομή της συγκεκριμένης ενότητας. Η ρητορική μάλιστα δομή είναι αυτή που τελικά άσκησε τη μεγαλύτερη επίδραση στην ιστορία της ερμηνείας της Ομιλίας κι επιπλέον συμβάλλει στην καλύτερη κατανόηση της θρησκευτικής και φιλοσοφικής συνάφειας μέσα στην οποία πρέπει να την τοποθετήσουμε.
