Eduard Lohse (1924 - +2015)

Στις 23 Ιουνίου 2015 έφυγε από τη ζωή ένας μεγάλος βιβλικός θεολόγος, ο Eduard Lohse. Δίδαξε την Καινή Διαθήκη σε πολλά πανεπιστήμια της Γερμανίας, όπως του Mainz, του Kiel και του Göttingen. Στο διάστημα 1971-1988 διατέλεσε επίσκοπος της λουθηρανικής Εκκλησίας και από το 1988 κι εξής και για αρκετά χρόνια επικεφαλής των Ηνωμένων Βιβλικών Εταιριών. Επί της προεδρίας του στη Γερμανική Βιβλική Εταιρία έγινε η αναθεώρηση της μετάφρασης του Λουθήρου. Επιπλέον ήταν ένας από τους κύριους συνομιλητές με την Ρωμαιοκαθολική Εκκλησία στο διάλογο μεταξύ Προτεσταντών και Ρωμαιοκαθολικών.

Η συμβολή του στη μελέτη της Καινής Διαθήκης είναι πολύ μεγάλη. Το συγγραφικό του έργο καλύπτει ένα μεγάλο εύρος αντικειμένων. Σταχυολογώ μερικά από τα γνωστά του βιβλία: Grundriß der neutestamentlichen Theologie (έχει μεταφραστεί και από τον ΑΡΤΟ ΖΩΗΣ), Umwelt des Neuen Testaments, Die Briefe an die Kolosser und Philemon, Der Brief an die Römer, Das Vaterunser. Im Licht seiner jüdischen Voraussetzungen.

Σταχυολογώ από τη νεκρολογία που δημοσιεύτηκε στην Süddeutsche Zeitung: 

Er wurde ein angesehener Theologie-Professor und 1971 Bischof der lutherischen Landeskirche Hannover, ein Konservativer, der sich für die Ostverträge aussprach, Pfarrerinnen förderte und für einen anständigen Umgang mit Homosexuellen eintrat. Weise und klug nannte ihn sein Freund, der ehemalige Bundeskanzler Helmut Schmidt. Nun ist Eduard Lohse gestorben. Er wurde 91 Jahre alt.

Gary N. Knoppers, "The Construction of Judean Diasporic Identity in Ezra–Nehemiah"

This essay explores how Ezra–Nehemiah partially inverts the traditional paradigm of exile found in other biblical writings. When one community is formed at some distance from another in antiquity, the derivative community normally appears as a dependent community (or colony). Yet, in Ezra–Nehemiah the homeland repeatedly experiences renewal through initiatives undertaken by diaspora Judeans. Particular attention is given to how the vertical alliances forged within the Achaemenid administration by two diaspora leaders—Ezra and Nehemiah—are deployed to benefit Yehud. The commendation of Ezra and Nehemiah raises fascinating issues about developing notions of Judean ethnicity and identity in a world dominated by imperial interests.
