Στην ιστοσελίδα ANE Today οι Ianir Milevski και Liora Kolska Horwitz δημοσιεύουν μία σειρά αρχαιολογικών ευρημάτων που πιστοποιούν την εξημέρωση των όνων στην αρχαία Εγγύς Ανατολή κατά Νεολιθική Εποχή (8η-6η χιλιετία π.Χ) και τις επιπτώσεις που είχε η αξιοποίησή τους στην οικονομία και την παραγωγή της περιοχής κατά την Χαλκολιθική Εποχή (μ. 5ης-μ. 4ης χιλιετίας π.Χ.):

Τέσσερα σπαράγματα από το Κουμράν στη βιβλιοθήκη John Rylands του Manchester / Four Qumran fragments in Manchester's John Rylands library

Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα του Πανεπιστημίου του Manchester ειδικοί κατόρθωσαν να εντοπίσουν τέσσερα σπαράγματα από τη βιβλιοθήκη του Κουμράν με κείμενο σε μία συλλογή σπαραγμάτων που φυλάσσεται στη βιβλιοθήκη John Rylands. Πρόκειται για τη συλλογή του Ronald Reed που μεταξύ άλλων συμπεριλαμβάνει και σπαράγματα από το Κουμράν τα οποία ως τώρα εθεωρείτο ότι δεν περιείχαν κείμενο. Ο εντοπισμός του κειμένου οφείλεται στην καθηγ. του King's Taylor Joan Taylor, η οποία μαζί με μία ομάδα ειδικών σύντομα θα δημοσιεύσουν τα σχετικά σπαράγματα:
