Η οικία του Caecilius Iucundus στην Πομπηία / The House of Caecilius Iucundus in Pompeii

Ομάδα αρχαιολόγων του Πανεπιστημίου της Lund σε συνεργασία με ειδικούς αξιοποίησαν τις δυνατότητες που δίνουν σήμερα οι ηλεκτρονικοί υπολογιστές προκειμένου να αναπαραστήσουν ψηφιακά μία από τις γνωστές οικίες της αρχαίας Πομπηίας, εκείνη του τραπεζίτη Caecilius Iucundus. Το εγχείρημα αποτελεί μέρος ενός μεγαλύτερο project με σκοπό την ψηφιακή αναπαράσταση όλης της  insula V1:

Ρωμαϊκή οικία στο Omrit (Ισραήλ) / A Roman House in Omrit (Israel)

Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευση στο livescience, το οποίο αναδημοσιεύει περίληψη της ανακοίνωσης του Dan Schowalter, καθηγητή στο Carthage College (Wisconsin), στην ετήσια συνάντηση του Archaeological Institute of America και της Society for Classical Studies στο Τορόντο, αρχαιολόγοι εντόπισαν τα ίχνη ρωμαϊκής οικίας στην τοποθεσία Omrit. To οίκημα χρονολογείται στα τ. 1ου ή αρχές του 2ου και φαίνεται ότι καταστράφηκε κατά τον 3ο αι. Ανάμεσα στα ενδιαφέροντα ευρήματα ο Schowalter ανέφερε μια σειρά από νωπογραφίες με ζωική και φυτική διακόσμηση καθώς κι αρκετά φαλλικά φυλακτά αρχαιότερα του 3ου αι., όταν το κτίριο καταστράφηκε. Είναι άγνωστο σε ποιον ανήκε η οικία, ίσως έναν Ρωμαίο αξιωματούχο ή κάποιο μέλος της τοπικής αριστοκρατίας που ήθελε να μιμηθεί το Ρωμαϊκό τρόπο ζωής:
