Ένα νέο περιοδικό κυκλοφορεί από τον εκδοτικό οίκο Brill και φέρει τον τίτλο Research Perspectives in Biblical Interpretation. Σε κάθε τεύχς του φιλοξενεί ένα εκτενές άρθρο από έναν ειδικό που εξηγεί πώς νέες μεθοδολογίες και προσεγγίσεις μπορούν να συμβάλουν στην ερμηνεία του βιβλικού κειμένου. Joseph Fitzmyer S.J. (4.11.1920 - 24.12.2016)

Έφυγε από την ζωή ο γνωστός καινοδιαθηκολόγος Joseph Fitzmyer. O Fitzmyer διετέλεσε καθηγητής του The Catholic University of America και υπήρξε ένας πολυγραφότατος συγγραφέας κι ένας βαθύς γνώστης του αραμαϊκού υπόβαθρου του αρχέγονου Χριστιανισμού. Είναι γνωστά τα υπομνήματά του στο κατά Λουκάν (Ancher Yale Bible Commentaries), στις Πράξεις (Anchor Yale Bible Commentaries, στην Α΄ προς Κορινθίους και την προς Ρωμαίους, καθώς και οι μελέτες του για τη θεολογία του Παύλου.
