Ένα βιβλικό μουσείο στην Washington / A biblical museum in Washington
H Washington Post δημοσιεύει την είδηση κατασκευής ενός εντυπωσιακού μουσείου της Βίβλου στην καρδιά της Washington και λίγα μέτρα από το Καπιτώλιο. Εμπνευστής και χρηματοδότης είναι ο Steve Green πρόεδρος της αλυσίδα καταστημάτων Hobby Lobby. Στο μουσείο, το οποίο θα διαθέτει μέχρι και εστιατόριο, όπου θα σερβίρονται φαγητά που αναφέρονται στη Βίβλο θα φιλοξενήσει μεταξύ άλλων και τα χειρόγραφα που εδώ και πέντε χρόνια ο Green συλλέγει.
Ένας κώδικας αξίας 1,1 εκ. λιρών / A codex worth £1,1m
Σύμφωνα με σημερινό δημοσίευμα του BBC online news η Πανεπιστημιακή Βιβλιοθήκη του Cambridge εξασφάλισε το ποσό του 1,1 εκ. λιρών για την αγορά του περίφημου Codex Zacynthius (040 ή Ξ) το οποίο ζητούσε η Bible Society στο Swindon και στης οποίας την κατοχή είναι ο κώδικας από το 1821.
Πρόκειται για έναν σημαντικό παλίμψηστο κώδικα με σχόλια από κείμενα πατέρων στα περιθώριά του σε μεγαλογράμματη γραφή. Το αρχικό κείμενο είναι του 7ου αι. και προέρχεται από το κατά Λουκάν ευαγγέλιο, ενώ το νεότερο είναι του 12ου/13ου αι. με της ευαγγελικές περικοπές της εβδομάδας.
Ο τύπος του κειμένου που διασώζει είναι ύστερος Αλεξανδρινός και παρουσιάζει μεγάλες ομοιότητες με τον Codex Regius.
