Αυτή η "Θεολογία της Παλαιάς Διαθήκης" είναι ένα διδακτικό εγχειρίδιο. Σ' αυτήν πραγματοποιείται μια επισκόπηση των παλαιοδιαθηκικών ομολογιών πίστης και καταδεικνύεται η σημασία που αυτές έχουν για το σύνολο της βιβλικής θεολογίας. Επιπλέον λαμβάνεται υπόψη και το περιβάλλον του Ισραήλ, εκείνο της αρχαίας Εγγύς Ανατολής.
Όλη η παλαιοδιαθηκική μαρτυρία σχετικά με το Θεό εξαρτάται άμεσα από την πράξη της εκλογής του λαού του Ισραήλ από τον Γιαχβέ και από τη δέσμευσή του απέναντί του. Ο Γιαχβέ επιλέγει το λαό του και δεσμεύεται σε μια κοινωνία με αυτόν. Έτσι στον πρώτο τόμο εξετάζονται οι μαρτυρίες για το γεονός της εξόδου και του Σινά. Επίσης τίθενται τα ζητήματα του δικαίου και του νόμου του Ισραήλ, του ονόματος, της ιδιαιτερότητας, της δράσης και της επίδρασης του Θεού μέσα στην αποκάλυψη, στην ιστορία και τη δημιουργία.
Στο δεύτερο τόμο εξετάζονται οι συνέπειες και τα επακόλουθα που προέκυψαν για τον παλαιοδιαθηκικό Ισραήλ μέσα από αυτές τις εμπειρίες πίστης. Αυτές σχετίζονται με τις αφηγήσεις των Πατριαρχών, της βασιλεία, τη Σιών, τους ιερείς και τους προφήτες. Επίσης εξετάζεται πώς αυτές οι εμπειρίες πίστης αναπτύχθηκαν και επηρέασαν περαιτέρω την ανθρωπολογία, την ηθική, τη λατρεία, τις προσδοκίες για το μέλλον και τη στάση του Ισραήλ απέναντι στους άλλους λαούς ...

Την Πέμπτη 24 Νοεμβρίου 2011 και ώρα 18.00 θα λάβει χώρα στην αίθουσα συνεδριάσεων της Θεολογικής Σχολής ΑΠΘ η πρώτη συνάντηση του Σεμιναρίου Ορθοδόξου Ερμηνευτικής Θεολογίας του Τμήματος Ποιμαντικής και Κοινωνικής Θεολογίας της Θεολογικής Σχολής ΑΠΘ.

Ομιλητής θα είναι ο ομότιμος καθηγητής της Νεοελληνικής Γλώσσας, Γραμματείας και Πολιτισμού του Πανεπιστημίου του Στρασβούργου Αστέριος Αργυρίου.

Θέμα της εισήγησής του:

"Η έννοια της ιστορίας στην Αγία Γραφή και στο Κοράνιο"
