Ένα μελανοδοχείο από εποχή του Δεύτερου Ναού / An inkpot of the Second Temple period

 Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα των Israel National News αρχαιολόγοι που εργάζονταν στην ανασκαφή του Khirbet Brakhot έφεραν στο φως ένα μελανοδοχείο που χρονολογείται στην εποχή του Δεύτερου Ναού, στα χρόνια πριν την καταστροφή της Ιερουσαλήμ:

 Αξιοποιώντας αρχαίες πηγές και κυρίως τη μαρτυρία της Βίβλου ο Karel van der Toorn (Πανεπιστήμιο του Amsterdam) συζητά τη σημασία και τον εορτασμό του Νέου Έτους (Rosh Hashanah) στον αρχαίο Ισραήλ:

O Max von Oppenheim και η ανακάλυψη του Tell Halaf / Max von Oppenheim and the discovery of Tell Halaf

 Στην ιστοσελίδα ANE Today ο Lutz Martin, διευθυντής του Μουσείου της αρχαίας Εγγύς Ανατολής στο Βερολίνο, παρουσιάζει τη δράση του Max von Oppenheim στη Συρία και τη Μεσοποταμία και την αρχαιολογική ανακάλυψη του Tell Halaf. Τα ευρήματα από τον αρχαιολογικό χώρο μεταφέρθηκαν στη Γερμανία σε ειδικό μουσείο, το οποίο όμως καταστράφηκε σε βομβαρδισμό του Βερολίνου κατά το Β΄ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο. Ωστόσο, πρόσφατα, μετά από πολύχρονη συντήρηση ειδικοί κατάφεραν να αποκαταστήσουν μεγάλο μέρος των ευρημάτων και σήμερα εκτίθενται και πάλι στο Βερολίνο. Η ιστορία του von Oppenheim αποτελεί ένα κομμάτι από το μεγάλο παζλ της ιστορίας των ευρωπαϊκών αρχαιολογικών συνδέσμων και εταιριών στην Εγγύς Ανατολή, μία ιστορία που συνδέεται με πολιτικές βλέψεις των μεγάλων δυνάμεων στην περιοχή και ιστορίες κατασκοπείας:
