+ Marguerite Harl (3.4.1919 – 30.8.2020)

Έφυγε από τη ζωή πλήρης ημερών η ομότιμη καθηγήτρια του Πανεπιστημίου Paris-IV, Marguerite Harl. Η εκλιπούσα υπήρξε μαθήτρια του Henri-Irénée Marrou και διηύθυνε το γνωστό project "La Bible d’Alexandrie". Εκτός από τη μετάφραση των Ο΄ η Harl εργάστηκε κυρίως στον Ωριγένη και τους Πατέρες των πρώτων αιώνων. Αναφέρω μερικές από τις σημαντικότερες δημοσιεύσεις της: La Langue de Japhet (1992), Le Déchiffrement du sens: Études sur l'herméneutique chrétienne d'Origène à Grégoire de Nysse, Institut d'études augustiniennes (1993), Origène d'Alexandrie et la fonction révélatrice du Verbe incarné (1959) και La Bible grecque des Septante : du judaïsme hellénistique au christianisme ancien, μαζί με τους Gilles Dorival και Olivier Munnich (1994).

Μία θαλασσινή λατρεία των Φοινίκων / Α sea cult of the Phoenicians

 Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα των New York Times τα εκατοντάδες μικρά αγαλματίδια που ανασύρθηκαν από τη θάλασσα στην τοποθεσία Shavei Zion, στις ακτές της δυτικής Γαλιλαίας δεν προέρχονται από κάποιο ναυάγιο, όπως είχε υποστηριχθεί παλαιότερα, αλλά μάλλον είναι αναθήματα σε θαλάσσιες θεότητες από Φοίνικες ναυτικούς που συσσωρεύτηκαν μέσα στην πάροδο εκατοντάδων ετών. Καθώς οι πληροφορίες μας για τους Φοίνικες είναι μάλλον πενιχρές το εύρημα κι η ερμηνεία του φωτίζει μία άγνωστη πτυχή της λατρευτικής ζωής αυτού του αρχαίου λαού:

Πού ήταν η βιβλική Gilgal; / Gilgal of the Bible

 Ο Zvi Koenigsberg εξετάζει τις βιβλικές πληροφορίες για την αρχαία Gilgal και θέτει το ερώτημα, εάν πρόκειται για μία ή περισσότερες τοποθεσίες που έφεραν αυτό το όνομα. Με τη βοήθεια των αρχαιολογικών δεδομένων παρουσιάζει τις πιθανές τοποθεσίες που θα μπορούσαν να χαρακτηριστούν ως 'gilgal' (=κύκλος από πέτρες) κι υποστηρίζει ότι μία τέτοια ήταν και το ιερό στο όρος Ebal:

Ένα εντυπωσιακό παλάτι από την εποχή του Πρώτου Ναού / An impressive palace of First Temple period

Κιονόκρανα πολυτελούς κτιρίου της εποχής του Πρώτου Ναού

 Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα των Τhe Times of Israel αρχαιολόγοι εντόπισαν ίχνη μίας πολυτελούς οικίας στην περιοχή Armon Hanatziv της Ιερουσαλήμ. Συγκεκριμένα πρόκειται για τρία κιονόκρανα από ασβεστόλιθο τα οποία προέρχονται από πολυτελές οικοδόμημα το οποίο χρονολογείται στην εποχή του Πρώτου Ναού, στην περίοδο μεταξύ της βασιλείας του Εζεκία και του Ιωσία. Μαζί με το παλάτι που βρέθηκε στην Ramat Rachel  και το διοικητικό κτίριο στην Arnona  βεβαιώνουν την επέκταση της πόλης της Ιερουσαλήμ έξω από τα τείχη της πόλης στην περίοδο μετά την επίθεση των Ασσυρίων. Ο ιδιοκτήτης του κτιρίου παραμένει άγνωστος:
