Louis Feldman (9.10.1926-25.3.2017)

Έφυγε από τη ζωή ο γνωστός καθηγητής της Κλασικής Γραμματείας στην έδρα Abraham Wouk Family Professor of Classics and Literature στο ΠανεπιστήμιοYeshiva, Louis Feldman. Ο καθηγητής Feldman υπήρξε ειδικός στις σπουδές για τον Ιώσηπο και συνέβαλε με τις μελέτες του στην καλύτερη κατανόηση του Ιουδαϊσμού της ελληνορωμαϊκής περιόδου. Διετέλεσε εκδότης των περιοδικών Classical Weekly και Classical World. Μεταξύ των σημαντικών του έργων συγκαταλέγονται τα εξής: Scholarship on Philo and Josephus, 1937–1962 (1963), Josephus and Modern Scholarship, 1937–1980 (1984), Jew and Gentile in the Ancient World: Attitudes and Interactions from Alexander to Justinian (1993), Studies in Hellenistic Judaism (1998) κ.ά.
