Στο ηλεκτρονικό περιοδικό Mosaic Magazine έχει δημοσιευθεί ένα ενδιαφέρον κείμενο για τη σχέση αλλά και τις διαφορές μεταξύ ενός βιβλικού ερευνητή κι ενός φιλοσόφου. Ο συγγραφέας του, James Diamond, παίρνει αφορμή από την κριτική που ασκεί ο Jon Levenson στο έργο του Kenneth Seeskin, Thinking about the Torah και διατυπώνει κάποιες ενδιαφέρους σκέψεις για τις διαφορετικές προϋποθέσεις και τους διαφορετικούς στόχους φιλοσοφίας και βιβλικής επιστήμης.

Καταλήγει, μεταξύ άλλων, και με την εξής παρατήρηση:

"And here, perhaps, lies the essential difference between the biblical scholar and the philosopher: the former seeks answers; the latter seeks the questions that can help situate the human being existentially and rationally within the universe."

Σε μία εποχή που η διεπιστημονικότητα, από τη μία, πολλές φορές κινδυνεύει να γίνει μία επιφανειακή ανάμειξη των ερευνητικών πεδίων και η αποκλειστικότητα της εξειδίκευσης, από την άλλη, ένας ανούσιος μονόλογος, είναι απαραίτητο να διατηρούνται οι διακριτοί ρόλοι και να κατανοείται η διαφοροποίηση των μεθοδολογιών και των προϋποθέσεων ώστε να προάγεται ένας γόνιμος διάλογος και μια σε βάθος συνεργασία.

Ανακάλυψη βιβλικών κειμένων σε παλίμψηστο / Discovery of biblical text in a palimpsest codex

Σύμφωνα με ανακοίνωση που αναρτήθηκε στη σελίδα της Ευαγγελικής Θεολογικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου του Μονάχου εντοπίστηκαν μία σειρά βιβλικών κειμένων σε ένα αιθιοπικό παλίμψηστο του 14ου αι. που φυλάσσεται στην Κρατική Βιβλιοθήκη του Βερολίνου. Τα κείμενα που εντοπίστηκαν προέρχονται από τα βιβλία του Ενώχ, τις Πράξεις, ένα εκλογάδιο της Παλαιάς Διαθήκης, ένα ομιλιάριο και πολλά αγιολογικά κείμενα. 

Το κείμενο εντοπίστηκε στο πλαίσιο ερευνητικού προγράμματος που χρηματοδοτήθηκε από το Γερμανικό Συμβούλιο Ερευνών.
