Το πολυσυζητημένο πλέον Ευαγγέλιο της Συζύγου του Ιησού εξακολουθεί να προκαλεί συζητήσεις στην ακαδημαϊκή κοινότητα, με αφορμή το πρόσφατο τεύχος του NTS αλλά και την πρόσφατη απάντηση της Karen King (BAR Sept-Oct 2015), η οποία δηλώνει ότι εξακολουθεί να πιστεύει στη γνησιότητα του παπύρου.

Ένα νέο εγχειρίδιο για τα απόκρυφα / A new handbook on Christian apocrypha

Από τον εκδοτικό οίκο Oxford University Press κυκλοφόρησε ένας νέος τόμος σχετικά με τα αρχαία χριστιανικά απόκρυφα. Παρουσιάζει και συζητά τα σημαντικότερα εξ αυτών, όπως το Ευαγγέλιο του Θωμά, της Μαρίας και του Πέτρου, απόκρυφες επιστολές που αποδίδονται στον Παύλο, τον Πέτρο και στον Ιησού καθώς και απόκρυφες Πράξεις και Αποκαλύψεις. Στο πρώτο μέρος  παρουσιάζονται εισαγωγικά θέματα σχετικά με αυτά τα κείμενα και στο δεύτερο ζητήματα που προκύπτουν από τη μελέτη αυτών των κειμένων, όπως η αξία τους στη μελέτη του ιστορικού Ιησού, των θεολογικών συζητήσεων και τάσεων του αρχέγονου Χριστιανισμού. Τέλος, ορισμένες μελέτες πραγματεύονται το ζήτημα του αναγνωστικού κοινού τέτοιων κειμένων στην αρχαιότητα, το ρόλο τους στην χριστιανική πνευματικότητα καθώς και τη θέση του στο σύγχρονο λαϊκό σύγχρονο πολιτισμό και στις σύγχρονες θεολογικές συζητήσεις.
