Πλοία επάνω σε νομίσματα / Ships on coins

Στην ηλεκτρονική σελίδα CoinWeek δημοσιεύεται ένα σύντομο άρθρο για τις παραστάσεις καραβιών επάνω σε ελληνικά, φοινικικά και ρωμαϊκά νομίσματα. Ειδική μνεία γίνεται στην παράσταση της Κιβωτού του Νώε (φωτο) σε νομίσματα της Απάμειας κατά τον 2ο/3ο αι. μ.Χ., όταν Ιουδαίοι κατέλαβαν αξιώματα στην τοπική αυτοδιοίκηση. Η παράσταση της Κιβωτού ως ενός κιβωτίου συμφωνεί με την ελληνική απόδοση στη μετάφραση των Ο΄ της λέξης tebah, την οποία χρησιμοποιούσε το εβραϊκό για να περιγράψει το σκάφος του Νώε και της οικογένειάς του:
