Δημοσιεύματα αναφέρουν τον εντοπισμό 9 κλειστών φυλακτηρίων από το Κουμράν, τα οποία για 60 χρόνια παρέμειναν ξεχασμένα στις αποθήκες της Αρχαιολογικής Υπηρεσίας του Ισραήλ (IAA). Τα φυλακτήρια περιείχαν μικρά χειρόγραφα με βιβλικά κείμενα.
