Ένα νέο ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα για τους κώδικες Nag Hammadi / A new research programme on the Nag Hammadi codices

Από την ηλεκτρονική σελίδα Past Horizons πληροφορούμαστε ότι το Ευρωπαϊκό Συμβούλιο Ερευνών ενέκρινε την ερευνητική πρόταση του  Hugo Lundhaug (Παν/μιο του Όσλο) σχετικά με τους κώδικες του Nag Hammadi. Σύμφωνα με αυτήν την ερευνητική πρόταση οι κοπτικοί κώδικες θα μελετηθούν στη συνάφεια του αιγυπτιακού μοναχισμού κατά τον 4ο και 5ο αι. αποφεύγοντας ωστόσο να τους αντιμετωπίσουν υπό το πρίσμα του Γνωστικισμού. 

Πρόκειται για ένα αξιόλογο έργο, το οποίο σίγουρα θα συμβάλει στην μελέτη αυτής της ενδιαφέρουσας αρχαίας χριστιανικής βιβλιοθήκης.

O βασιλικός κήπος στο Kibbutz Ramat Rachel / Τhe royal garden at Kibbutz Ramat Rachel

H ηλεκτρονική έκδοση της 2/2/ της εφημερίδας Haaretz δημοσιεύει την είδηση ότι οι πρόσφατες ανακαλύψεις στο βασιλικό κήπο του παλατιού που βρέθηκε παλαιότερα στο Kibbutz Ramat Rachel (εποχή Εζεκία έως εποχή Ασμοναίων, βλ.. φωτ.) οδηγούν σε ενδιαφέροντα συμπεράσματα σχετικά με τα φυτά που καλλιεργούνταν εκεί. 

Σύμφωνα με το δημοσίευμα κόκκοι γύρης που βρέθηκαν σε στρώμα κονιάματος από την περσική περίοδο οδηγούν στο συμπέρασμα ότι στον κήπο ήταν φυτεμένα κίτρα (etrog). Οι αρχαιολόγοι πιστεύουν ότι η καλλιέργειά του ήταν ένας ακόμη τρόπος προβολής της δύναμης του βασιλιά και της αίγλης του. Τέλος από τον ίδιο κήπο προέρχονται μαρτυρίες για την καλλιέργεια της μυρτιάς και της ιτιάς, δύο φυτών που χρησιμοποιούνταν στην εορτή της Σκηνοπηγίας.
