Στην ιστοσελίδα ANE Today οι Amir Gorzalczany και Baruch Rosen παρουσιάζουν μία σειρά από ψηφιδωτά των ρωμαϊκών και βυζαντινών χρόνων με παραστάσεις άγριων σαρκοφάγων ζώων στην αιχμαλωσία. Τέτοιες παραστάσεις επιβεβαίωναν την ανθρώπινη κυριαρχία στην άγρια φύση και μας δίνουν πληροφορίες για την καθημερινή ζωή των ανθρώπων της αρχαιότητας αλλά και τη στάση του ανθρώπου απέναντι στην άγρια φύση:

Η κοινωνική διαστρωμάτωση των πρώτων χριστιανικών ομάδων της Γαλιλαίας / The social stratification of the early Christian groups in Galilee

Στην ιστοσελίδα The Bible and Interpretation οι Ben-Zion Rosenfeld και Haim Perlmutter συζητούν το κοινωνικό προφίλ της Γαλιλαίας του 1ου αι. μ.Χ. κι υποστηρίζουν ότι ο Ιησούς κι η πρώτη ομάδα που τον ακολούθησε προέρχεται από μία μάλλον μεσαία κοινωνική ομάδα. Οι συγγραφείς στηρίζονται κυρίως στα ραββινικά κείμενα. Μολονότι αυτά είναι μια σημαντική πηγή, έχω κάποιες επιφυλάξεις κατά πόσο μπορούν να μας δώσουν ασφαλείς πληροφορίες για την κοινωνία της εποχής του Ιησού:
