Larry Hurtado (1943–2019)

Κυκλοφόρησε στα βιβλικά ιστολόγια η θλιβερή είδηση της εκδημίας του γνωστού καινοδιαθηκολόγου, Larry Hurtado, ομότιμου καθηγητή του Πανεπιστημίου του Εδιμβούργου. Ο εκλιπών υπήρξε ένας πολυγραφότατος και οξύνους ερευνητής με έμφαση στα θέματα τόσο του Ιουδαϊκού μονοθεϊσμού όσο κυρίως της λατρείας του Ιησού από τους πρώτους χριστιανούς. Αναφέρω μερικές από τις σημαντικές του μελέτες: Lord Jesus Christ: Devotion to Jesus in Earliest Christianity (2003), How on Earth did Jesus Become a God? Historical Questions about Earliest Devotion to Jesus (2005), The Earliest Christian Artifacts: Manuscripts and Christian (2006), Destroyer of the Gods: early Christian distinctiveness in the Roman World (2016) και Honoring the Son: Jesus in Earliest Christian Devotional Practice (2018). Ο Hurtado ασχολήθηκε επίσης με θέματα κριτικής του κειμένου της Καινής Διαθήκης. Η διδακτορική του διατριβή ήταν για το κείμενο του κατά Μάρκον στον κώδικα W και δημοσίευσε μελέτες σχετικά με το λόγιο Freer και τη σημασία των nomina sacra στα χειρόγραφα της Καινής Διαθήκης καθώς και τη χρήση του κώδικα για τα κείμενα των αρχαίων χριστιανών. Ήδη λίγους μήνες νωρίτερα είχε ανακοινώσει στο προσωπικό του ιστολόγιο ότι η μορφή λευχαιμίας, από την οποία έπασχε, ήταν εξαιρετικά επιθετική κι η πιθανότητες θεραπείας ελάχιστες. Σύμφωνα με την ανακοίνωση του Πανεπιστημίου του Εδιμβούργου σήμερα, 26.11.2019, ο Larry Hurtado έφυγε στον ύπνο του. Ας τον αναπαύει ο Κύριος! Αφήνει πίσω του μια σημαντική ερευνητική παρακαταθήκη κι ένα αξιομίμητο παράδειγμα ακούραστου ερευνητή. 

Πρώτη συνάντηση του Biblicum / November meeting of Biblicum

Η πρώτη συνάντηση του Biblicum του Τμήματος Θεολογίας ΑΠΘ θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Δευτέρα 25 Νοεμβρίου 2019, ώρα 19.30 στην αίθουσα του Μουσείου της Θεολογικής Σχολής (3ος όροφος):

Η θεματική γύρω από την οποία θα κινηθούν οι φετινές εισηγήσεις είναι «Παραβολικές διηγήσεις στην Αγία Γραφή και στο περιβάλλον της».

Πρώτος ομιλητής θα είναι ο καθηγητής της Καινής Διαθήκης του Τμήματος Θεολογίας, Χαράλαμπος Ατματζίδης και θα αναπτύξει το θέμα:
