Επιπλέον, φαίνεται ότι οδήγησε τελικά και την Karen King, που πρώτη παρουσίασε πριν μερικά χρόνια το απόκρυφο σε συνέδριο, να παραδεχτεί ότι ίσως τελικά το χειρόγραφο ήταν πλαστό:
