Ένα ιδιαίτερα θλιβερό γεγονός της ημέρας: η εκδημία του γνωστού καθηγητή της Καινής Διαθήκης I. Howard Marshall, ομότιμου καθηγητή του Παν/μίου του Aberdeen. Στο ερευνητικό του έργο ο εκλιπών ασχολήθηκε κυρίως με το κατά Λουκάν και τις Πράξεις, τις Ποιμαντικές Επιστολές καθώς και την Θεολογία της ΚΔ: Luke: Historian and Theologian (1970, 1989), The Gospel of Luke (NIGTC) (1978), A Critical and Exegetical Commentary on The Pastoral Epistles (International Critical Commentary), (1999) κ.ά.
