Διεθνές Συνέδριο "UNDERSTANDING PERSONS - Ancient, Medieval, and Modern Perspectives From the Christian East"
Την ερχόμενη Τετάρτη, 14 Μαΐου ώς την Παρασκευή, 16 Μαΐου, θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο πλαίσιο της διετούς μεταδιδακτορικής έρευνας του μεταδιδάκτορα του Τμήματός μας Dr Alexis Torrance «Μια κριτική αξιολόγηση των Πατερικών προτύπων για τις σύγχρονες θεολογίες του Προσώπου», η οποία χρηματοδοτείται από τη ΓΓΕΤ, διεθνές Συνέδριο με τίτλο : «UNDERSTANDING PERSONS - Ancient, Medieval, and Modern Perspectives From the Christian East».
To Συνέδριο συνδιοργανώνεται με το Δίκτυο ΚΕΕΠ και θα συμμετάσχουν σ᾽ αυτό ειδικοί επιστήμονες από όλο τον κόσμο. Φιλοδοξία μας είναι να λειτουργήσει ως ένα workshop γι᾽ αυτό το τόσο σημαντικό και επίκαιρο και στην εποχή μας θεολογικό ζήτημα. Γι᾽ αυτό και στις συνεδρίες της Πέμπτης και της Παρασκευής, που θα πραγματοποιηθούν στο αμφιθέατρο της ΔΙΑΚΟΝΙΑΣ στην Πυλαία, θα υπάρχει μεταφραστικό σύστημα για την κατανόηση των ξενόγλωσσων εισηγήσεων και τη συμμετοχή των συνέδρων στις συζητήσεις που θα επακολουθήσουν.
Επισημαίνεται ότι η εναρκτήρια διάλεξη θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τον μητροπολίτη και ομότιμο καθηγητή του Πανεπιστημίου της Οξφόρδης Κάλλιστο Ware, έναν από τους σημαντικότερους ορθόδοξους θεολόγους της εποχής μας, στην αίθουσα συνεδριάσεων της Σχολής μας την Τετάρτη 14 Μαΐου.
