Στις 27 και 28 Μαρτίου 2014 έλαβε χώρα το διεθνές επιστημονικό συνέδριο «ΑΠΟΣΤΟΛΟΣ ΠΑΥΛΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΑΓΙΟΣ ΓΡΗΓΟΡΙΟΣ ΠΑΛΑΜΑΣ: ΑΠΟ ΤΗΝ ΟΙΚΟΥΜΕΝΙΚΗ ΣΤΗΝ ΗΣΥΧΑΣΤΙΚΗ ΘΕΟΛΟΓΙΑ», το οποίο διοργάνωσαν τα δύο ερευνητικά Κέντρα του Τμήματος, το Κέντρο Αγίου Δημητρίου και Αγίου Γρηγορίου Παλαμά και το Κέντρο Αποστόλου Παύλου, σε συνεργασία με το Δίκτυο Κειμενικής και Ερμηνευτικής Εκκλησιαστικής Παράδοσης του Τμήματος.
