Από το ιστολόγιο Evangelica Textual Criticism πληροφορούμαστε ότι η καθηγήτρια Barbara Aland, πρώην διευθύντρια του Ινστιτούτου για την Κριτική του Κειμένου της Κ.Δ. στο Münster τιμήθηκε από το γερμανικό κράτος με τον "Bundesverdienstkreuz am Bande" κυρίως για το έργο της στην κριτική του κειμένου της Κ.Δ. Πολιτισμική μνήμη και Βίβλος / Cultural Memory and the Bible

Στην ιστοσελίδα The Bible and Interpretation έχει αναρτηθεί ένα πολύ ενδιαφέρον σύντομο άρθρο του καθ. της Εβραϊκής Βίβλου και των Ιουδαϊκών Σπουδών στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Berkeley, Ronald Hendel σχετικά με τη σπουδαιότητα της πολισμικής μνήμης. Το κείμενο αποτελεί απάντηση σε ένα παλαιότερο ανάλογο κείμενο του καθ. της Π.Δ. στο Παν/μιο του Sheffield Philip Davies, στο οποίο είχαμε αναφερθεί σε παλαιότερη ανάρτηση.

Όπως κι εκείνο έτσι και το παρόν του Hendel ασχολείται με την ουσιαστική ή όχι διχοτομία μεταξύ ιστορικού και μη ιστορικού μέσα σε κάθε βιβλική αφήγηση. Ενώ συμφωνεί με τον Davies ότι κάθε αφήγηση είναι από τη φύση της ένα αφηγηματικό κατασκεύασμα κι ότι η θεωρία της πολιτισμικής μνήμης ουσιαστικά αίρει την παλαιότερη διχοτομία μεταξύ ιστορικά πραγματικού και μη, διαφοροποιείται από τον Davies στο ότι θεωρεί ότι το ιστορικό στοιχείο δεν χάνεται μέσα σε κάθε τέτοια αφήγηση κι ότι στόχος του ερευνητή που προσεγγίζει τις βιβλικές αφηγήσεις μέσα από την οπτική της πολιτισμικής μνήμης είναι να διακρίνει το πώς η μνήμη διαμορφώνεται μέσα τα ιστορικά και μη στοιχεία και πώς διαμορφώνει την ταυτότητα της ομάδας σε πολλά επίπεδα.

Καταλήγει:

The pursuit of cultural memory in biblical studies has the potential to complicate and reconfigure many dubious dichotomies in our field, including maximalism/minimalism, history/fiction, diachronic/synchronic, and perhaps even postmodern/modern. And as Philip and I agree (to my pleasure), it also implicates post-biblical and modern memories of the biblical past, and how such memories are revitalized and contested in each generation.

Στην ιστοσελίδα The Bible and Interpretation έχει αναρτηθεί ένα άρθρο του αρχαιολόγου Joe Zias σχετικά με το πρόσφατο φιλμ του γνωστού πλέον σκηνοθέτη Jacobovici ("The Jesus Nails"), όπου υποστηριζόταν ότι δύο καρφιά που βρέθηκαν στον τάφο της οικογένειας του Καϊάφα προέρχονται από τον σταυρό του Ιησού κι ότι τα κράτησε ο μετανοημένος αρχιερέας. Ο Zias επικαλείται τη γνώμη του γνωστού ειδικού L.Y. Rahmani, ο οποίος είναι ο συγγραφέας του κλασικού καταλόγου των ιουδαϊκών οστεοφυλακίων, και υποστηρίζει ότι τέτοια καρφιά χρησιμοποιούνταν για να στηρίξουν το καπάκι του οστεοφυλακίου.
