Πρώιμες αλφαβητικές επιγραφές από Αίγυπτο και Παλαιστίνη

Στην ιστοσελίδα The Bible and Interpretation έχει αναρτηθεί ένα πολύ ενδιαφέρον άρθρο του Gordon J. Hamilton, καθ. του Huron University College (Καναδάς) με θέμα 11 πρώιμες αλφαβητικές επιγραφές από Παλαιστίνη και Αίγυπτο (1900 - 900 π.Χ.). Μεταξύ άλλων ο Hamilton συζητά την επιγραφή που βρέθηκε πρόσφατα στο Khirbet Qeiyafa, η οποία παραμένει ακόμη θέμα προς συζήτηση στην έρευνα.

Με αφορμή μία σημερινή ανάρτηση στο ιστολόγιο Paul's epistle to the Galatians παραπέμπουμε στην ιστοσελίδα του επίκουρου καθηγητή της Κ.Δ. στο Παν/μιο του St. Louis, James Kehlhoffer, όπου ο ενδιαφερόμενος αναγνώστης μπορεί να βρει πολλά από τα άρθρα του. Ο J. Kehlhoffer (τον οποίο είχα τη χαρά να γνωρίσω στο Μόναχο) είναι γνωστός από δύο σημαντικές μελέτες του: Miracle and Mission (2000) σχετικά με το κατά Μάρκον ευαγγέλιο και The Diet of John the Baptist (2005). Αυτό το διάστημα εργάζεται στο τρίτο βιβλίο του σχετικά με τη σχέση του μαρτυρίου και της ταυτότητας της αρχαίας εκκλησιαστικής κοινότητας. Ένα νέο βιβλίο για τη βιβλική ανθρωπολογία / A new book on biblical anthropology

Κυκλοφόρησε από τον εκδοτικό οίκο Herder ένας τόμος με τα πρακτικά συνεδρίου που έλαβε χώρα στο Münster το 2008. Θέμα του ήταν η βιβλική ανθρωπολογία και κυρίως ιδιαίτερες πτυχές της στα κείμενα της Παλαιάς Διαθήκης:

Η περιγραφή του Φίλωνα του Ιουδαϊκού συμποσίου στο έργο του De vita contemplative ομοιάζει τη στάση της σύγχρονης με αυτόν αριστοκρατίας της Ρώμης και σφραγίζει μία αυξανόμενη κριτική εναντίον του παραδοσιακού ελληνικού συμποσίου η οποία μαρτυρείται και σε αρχαιότερα κείμενα.

Στην ιστοσελίδα The Bible and Interpretation έχει αναρτηθεί το κείμενο του καθ. της Π.Δ. στο Wheaton College, John H. Whaton, ο οποίος προτείνει να διαβασθεί το Γεν 1 ως μία αρχαία κοσμολογία.
