Μία πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα έκθεση με θέμα την αντίληψη και τη μέτρηση του χρόνου και του κόσμου εγκαινιάστηκε στο  Institute for the Study of the Ancient World του Manhattan (15 East 84th St.) και θα λειτουργήσει μέχρι τις 23 Απριλίου 2017.

Περισσότερα από 100 αντικείμενα της αρχαιότητας, δάνεια από διάφορες συλλογές αρχαιολογικών μουσείων παρουσιάσουν πτυχές του τρόπου με τον οποίοι οι αρχαίοι κατανοούν, αξιολογούν και μετράν τον χρόνο. 

Μεταξύ των εκθεμάτων και το γνωστό ηλιακό ρολόι των Φιλίππων (3ος-4ος αι. βλ. φωτο) αλλά και πολλά άλλα περισσότερο και λιγότερο γνωστά αντικείμενα.

Ξεκινάει σήμερα και θα διαρκέσει μέχρι αύριο ένα ενδιαφέρον συνέδριο για την απόκρυφη γραμματεία και την επίδραση στον ουκρανικό πολιτισμό. Το συνέδριο θα λάβει χώρα στις εγκαταστάσεις του Τμήματος Θεολογίας και Φιλοσοφίας του Ουκρανικού Καθολικού Πανεπιστημίου του Lviv.
