Παγκόσμια Ημέρα της μετάφρασης των Ο' / International Septuagint Day

Η International Organization for Septuagint and Cognate Studies (IOSCS) έχει ορίσει την 8η Φεβρουαρίου ως την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα της Μετάφρασης των Ο΄. H ημερομηνία αυτή επιλέχθηκε, γιατί στις 8 Φεβρουαρίου 553 μ.Χ. ο αυτοκράτορας Ιουστινιανός με τον νόμο του Νεαραί 146 επέτρεψε στους Ιουδαίους της αυτοκρατορίας να διαβάζουν τις Γραφές τους στα ελληνικά, στα λατινικά ή σε οποιαδήποτε άλλη γλώσσα που θα επέτρεπε τους ακροατές στη συγκεκριμένη περιοχή να κατανοήσουν καλύτερα το κείμενο.

Στην ηλεκτρονική σελίδα Discovery News δημοσιεύθηκε η είδηση ανεύρεσης ενός ναού των βυζαντινών χρόνων κάτω από την οποία κατά την εκτίμηση των αρχαιολόγων ίσως κρύβεται ο τάφος του Ζαχαρία. Ο ναός εντοπίσθηκε στο Horbat Midras (ΝΔ της Ιερουσαλήμ), τοποθεσία γνωστή από τα ρωμαϊκά χρόνια.
