Ιωάννης Γαλάνης (1940-+2022)

Χτες έφυγε από τη ζωή η αγαπητός μου δάσκαλος Ιωάννης Γαλάνης, ομότιμος καθηγητής της Καινής Διαθήκης της Θεολογικής Σχολής ΑΠΘ. Ο καθηγητής γεννήθηκε στο Αθαμάνιο της Άρτας, σπούδασε Θεολογία στη Θεολογική Σχολή Αθηνών και ανακηρύχτηκε διδάκτορας της Θεολογικής Σχολής ΑΠΘ. Δίδαξε ως επισκέπτης καθηγητής στο Ινστιτούτο Ορθόδοξης Θεολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου του Μονάχου. Διετέλεσε μεταξύ άλλων πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Εταιρίας Βιβλικών Θεολόγων, μέλος της Γενικής Συνέλευσης της Ελληνικής Βιβλικής Εταιρίας και μέλος της Επιστημονικής Επιτροπής των ετήσιων εκδηλώσεων ΠΑΥΛΕΙΑ της Ι.Μ. Βεροίας, Ναούσης και Καμπανίας. Έλαβε μέρος σε πολλά συνέδρια στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.

Άνθρωπος αθόρυβος, συνεπής στις αρχές του και ευθύς, δάσκαλος με έγνοια για τον φοιτητή, ανοικτό πνεύμα, με εκκλησιαστικό φρόνημα, υπηρέτησε τη βιβλική επιστήμη με συνέπεια και μεράκι. Το επιστημονικό έργο που άφησε πίσω του είναι σημαντικό. Ξεχωρίζω ανάμεσα στα έργα του τη διδακτορική του διατριβή Υιοθεσία. Ἡ χρῆσις τοῦ ὅρου παρὰ Παύλῳ ἐν σχέσει πρὸς τὰ νομικὰ καὶ θεολογικὰ δεδομένα τῶν λαῶν τοῦ περιβάλλοντός του (Θεσσαλονίκη 1977), τις μελέτες του Η σχέση ανθρώπου και κτίσεως κατά την Καινή Διαθήκη (Θεσσαλονίκη 1984)· Το ιστορικό πλαίσιο της Καινής Διαθήκης. Συνοπτική Ιστορία της εποχής της Καινής Διαθήκης · Άνθρωπος και κτίση στη βιβλική παράδοση (Θεσσαλονίκη 2010) και τα δύο υπομνήματά του στην Α΄ και Β΄ Θεσσαλονικείς (Θεσσαλονίκη 1985 και 1989). Ο καθηγητής Γαλάνης υπήρξε επίσης ένας εκ των έξι καθηγητών που επιμελήθηκαν τη μετάφραση της Καινής Διαθήκης στη Νέα Ελληνική της Ελληνικής Βιβλικής Εταιρίας. 

Ας είναι αιωνία η μνήμη του. Δάσκαλε, σε ευχαριστώ!
