Η σιωπή των σκλάβων / The silence of slaves

Κυκλοφόρησε από τον εκδοτικό οίκο Routledge η μελέτη του Ronald Charles σχετικά με τους τρόπους που αρχαία ιουδαϊκά και χριστιανικά κείμενα χρησιμοποιούν ή εξαφανίζουν από την αφήγηση τους δούλους με σκοπό να εξυπηρετήσουν τους σκοπούς της αφήγησής τους. Ο συγγραφέας αξιοποιεί τις αρχές της μεταποικιακής θεωρίας και την οπτική της ιστορίας "από κάτω" προκειμένου να εντοπίσει τους δούλους σε αυτά τα κείμενα και να τους επαναφέρει στο κάδρο της αφήγησης.

Το σώμα του Σαούλ / Saul's Body

Ο Brian R. Doak (George Fox University) παίρνει αφορμή από την περιγραφή του σώματος του Σαούλ (1 Σαμ 9:1-2) για να συζητήσει τη συνήθη απουσία  περιγραφών του σώματος των ηρώων στη  γραμματεία της αρχαίας Εγγύς Ανατολής και τη σημασία που έχει για τους αναγνώστες όταν κάποιες φορές, όπως στην περίπτωση του Σαούλ, ο συγγραφέας παρέχει μια τέτοια περιγραφή:
