Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα του περιοδικού LiveScience αρχαιολόγοι εντόπισαν μία αρχαία βαπτισματική κολυμβήθρα στην εκκλησία της Γεννήσεως στη Βηθλεέμ. Η κολυμβήθρα είναι κατασκευασμένη από το ίδιο υλικό, όπως και οι κίονες της εκκλησίας, κάτι που οδηγεί σε μια πρώτη εκτίμηση χρονολόγησης του νέου ευρήματος στην εποχή ανέγερσης της εκκλησίας, δηλ. τον 4ο αι. μ.Χ. [Εδώ το δημοσίευμα είναι ασαφές, γιατί νωρίτερα χρονολογεί την κολυμβήθρα μεταξύ 501 και 600 μ.Χ.]

Στο ιστολόγιο της Society of Classical Studies η Angela Holzmeister παρουσιάζει την προσφορά της ηλεκτρονικής πλατφόρμας Thesaurua Linguae Grecae, το οποίο άρχισε να λειτουργεί το 1972 πολύ πριν το WWW γίνει διαθέσιμο στο κοινό στα 1991. Τα καλά νέα είναι ότι στόχος είναι το TLG να διατεθεί σύντομα ελεύθερο στο κοινό:

Η αρχαιολογική υπηρεσία της Κύπρου ανακοίνωσε τον εντοπισμό ενός ρωμαϊκού ναυαγίου ανοικτά της παραθαλάσσιας πόλης Πρωτάρας. Πρόκειται για το πρώτο ρωμαϊκό ναυάγιο που εντοπίζεται στο νησί και το οποίο είναι άθικτο. Από τους αμφορείς που βρέθηκαν μέσα και γύρω από το ναυάγιο προκύπτει ότι πρόκειται για εμπορικό πλοίο που μετέφερε προϊόντα μεταξύ της Συρίας και της Κιλικίας:
