Αποχαιρετιστήρια διάλεξη του Gerd Theißen

Στις 4 Ιουλίου 2008 ο διεθνούς φήμης καθηγητής της Κ.Δ. στο Παν/μιο της Heidelberg, Gerd Theißen έδωσε την αποχαιρετιστήρια διάλεξή του με θέμα "Protestantische Existenz heute". Aνάμεσα σε άλλα ο καθ. G. Theißen αναφέρθηκε και στον "προτεσταντικό τρόπο κατανόησης της Βίβλου σήμερα και το νέο προτεσταντικό τετραπλό νόημα της Γραφής" και παρουσίασε τις νέες τάσεις που κυριαρχούν σήμερα στο προτεσταντικό κόσμο όσον αφορά τη βιβλική ερμηνεία.

Συνέδριο για το ρόλο του ανδρικού και γυναικείου φύλου στις θρησκείες της Μεσογείου

Το Institutum Judaicum του Παν/μιου της Τυβίγγης διοργανώνει διεθνές συνέδριο με τον τίτλο "«Male And Female He Created Them». Masculine and Feminine in the Mediterranean Religions and Their Influence on Matrimonial Religious Law". Το συνέδριο θα λάβει χώρα στη Θεολογική Σχολή (Theologicum) του Παν/μιου από 16.09 έως 18.09.2008. Ανάμεσα στα θέματα θα διαβαστούν και δύο εισηγήσεις βιβλικού ενδιαφέροντος:

Αφιέρωμα στον Gerhard von Rad

Το τεύχος 62:3 (2008) του περιοδικού Ιnterpretation έχει ως θέμα του τον Gerhard von Rad, έναν από τους μεγαλύτερους, όπως είναι γνωστό, παλαιοδιαθηκολόγους του 20ου αι. Στα άρθρα του αφιερώματος παρουσιάζεται ο von Rad όχι μόνον ως μεγάλος θεολόγος αλλά και ως εκκλησιαστικός άνδρας.

Πρακτικά Συνεδρίου για το Ευαγγέλιο του Ιούδα

Από τον εκδοτικό οίκο Brill θα κυκλοφορήσουν προσεχώς τα πρακτικά του συνεδρίου που έγινε στο Παρίσι (Πανεπιστήμιο Σορβόννης) το 2006 (Οκτ. 27-28) για το λεγόμενο Ευαγγέλιο του Ιούδα και στο οποίο συμμετείχαν ειδικοί από Αμερική και Ευρώπη. Στις εισηγήσεις, που παρουσιάστηκαν στο συνέδριο, συζητήθηκαν φιλολογικά, ιστορικά και θεολογικά ζητήματα, καθώς και θέματα πηγών του γνωστικού αυτού ευαγγελίου. Εκτός από το ερώτημα για το πώς παρουσιάζεται ο Ιούδας σε αυτό το κείμενο, το ευαγγέλιο του Ιούδα δίνει ενδιαφέρουσες πληροφορίες για γνωστικές ομάδες μέσα στον αρχαίο Χριστιανισμό και τον τρόπο που κατανοούσαν τη σχέση τους με την Εκκλησία.

H Αποκάλυψη του Γαβριήλ στο νέο τεύχος του BAR

Στο τεύχος του Biblical Archaeology Review Σεπτεμβρίου-Οκτωβρίου 2008 δημοσιεύεται για πρώτη φορά η αγγλική μετάφραση του αινιγματικού κειμένου της λεγόμενης "Αποκάλυψης του Γαβριήλ". Το κείμενο αυτό έκανε γνωστό στην επιστημονική κοινότητα ο Israel Knohl, του Παν/μίου της Ιερουσαλήμ πριν λίγους μήνες. Ο καθ. Knohl παρουσίασε στη συνέχεια το κείμενο σε συνέδριο του Israel Museum τον Ιούλιο και στο συνέδριο της EABS στη Λισαβώνα τον Αύγουστο. Η ανακάλυψή του προκάλεσε αίσθηση στην επιστημονική κοινότητα, καθώς σύμφωνα με την ανάγνωση του Knohl το κείμενο, που χρονολογείται στον πρώτο αιώνα π.Χ., αναφέρεται σε έναν Μεσσία, ο οποίος θα αναστηθεί σε τρεις μέρες. Ο Knohl συμπεραίνει λοιπόν ότι η ιδέα της ανάστασης του Μεσσία ήταν μία ήδη εδραιωμένη πεποίθηση στην ιουδαϊκή παράδοση κατά την εποχή του Ιησού και της πρώτης Εκκλησίας.
