Σε συνέχεια και της προηγούμενης ανάρτησης σημειώνουμε τo πρόγραμμα ψηφιοποίησης ελληνικών χειρογράφων που φυλάσσονται στη Βρετανική Βιβλιοθήκη το οποίο επιχορηγείται από το Ίδρυμα Νιάρχος. Μεταξύ αυτών των χειρογράφων συγκαταλέγονται και πολλά της Καινής Διαθήκης, όπως οι δύο κώδικες για τους οποίους έγινε λόγος στην προηγούμενη ανάρτηση:

Στις 4 Ιουνίου απεβίωsε ο γνωστός καινοδιαθηκολόγος Ιησουΐτης ιερέας και καθηγητής του Catholic University of America Francis Gignac. Έγινε διδάκτορας το 1964 στο πανεπιστήμιο της Οξφόρδης με την εργασία "The Language of the Post-Christian Greek Papyri". Στα 1968 του απονεμήθηκε η L.S.T. από την Σχολή Ιησουϊτών στον Σικάγο με την εργασία "Semitic Interference in New Testament Greek". Δίδαξε στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Fordham και Union Theological Seminary και από το 1974 στο Catholic University of America. Διεύθυνε το πρόγραμμα Βιβλικών Σπουδών από το 1976 έως και το 2012. Υπήρξε συγγραφέας πολλών μελετών σχετικά με τη γλώσσα της Καινής Διαθήκης, μιας πολύτομης γραμματικής των ελληνικών παπύρων της ελληνορωμαϊκής περιόδου και μίας εισαγωγής στη μελέτη της γλώσσας της Καινής Διαθήκης. Έγινε ομότιμος το 2013.

CALL FOR PAPERS. The editorial board of Melilah invites submissions for its 2014 volume, for which the theme is 'Jewish Studies and the New Testament', to be defined broadly. Interested authors are encouraged to contact the editors in advance. 

 Melilah is an interdisciplinary Open Access journal available in both electronic and book form concerned with Jewish law, history, literature, religion, culture and thought in the ancient, medieval and modern eras. It encourages work from younger scholars at the start of their academic careers as well as contributions from established scholars. The editors are Daniel Langton and Renate Smithuis.
